Connecting Pathway Partners to NYCP Fellows

What is the NYCP Road to 50

NYCP Road To 50 is a campaign to secure partnerships with 50 pathway partners (professionals, organizations, companies, or businesses) in the greater Newark area, to provide career engagement, exploration and work-based learning experiences for students enrolled in NYCP.

Career Engagement

Share job experiences and details on how to pursue  specific careers on a panel or at a career fair. This valuable exchange of information not only provides valuable insights but also fosters networking opportunities that can open doors to exciting professional prospects.

Career Exploration

Host site visits where NYCP Fellows can tour offices and other workspaces to experience what it looks like to be in the field of a particular career. NYCP will sponsor a lunch and learn at the host site. The goal is to help facilitate authentic conversations with fellows and pathway partners around the details of their career path and current role.

Work-Based Learning

Host a qualified NYCP Fellow who is a rising senior or scheduled to graduate for a four-week summer internship. NYCP will provide training for participating fellows and pathway partners. Where applicable, NYCP will connect the internship site and a government body to help facilitate enrollment as a summer job site so that fellows can be paid for their experiences.
